The experience
From our kitchen to your table
There's a rhythm to a South Indian breakfast — the batter fermenting overnight, the first dosa hitting a hot pan, the smell of sambar simmering. URAL brings that rhythm into your kitchen, minus the guesswork.
How it works
Batter to breakfast

Mix
Blend the mix with water to form a smooth batter.
Ferment
Cover and let the batter ferment for 10–12 hours, until airy.
Cook
Steam idlis, or spread the batter thin for crispy dosas.
Enjoy
Serve warm with your favorite chutney and sambar.

The do-it-all set
One breakfast table, three ways.
Idli, dosa, and millet dosa — everything you need to rotate a full week of South Indian mornings.

Our story
Why URAL?
URAL is the Tamil name for the traditional stone mortar — ground by hand with a wooden pestle — that South Indian households once used to turn soaked rice and lentils into batter. We named the brand after it to carry that patience forward, into kitchens that don’t have a morning to spare for grinding, without losing what makes it taste like home.
